Once a drover's inn dating back to the 1720s, the inn can also be hired as an exclusive-use holiday home, wedding and events venue, to celebrate with your nearest and dearest or meet-up with new faces. And if you can tear yourself away, the scenic beauty of Glendevon and the Highlands are just on your doorstep, with Edinburgh, Stirling, Glasgow and Perth all within easy reach.

This historic steading has always been a place to rest and recharge, to celebrate and toast happy occasions - especially for the tired drovers stopping for respite (and a few drams of the amber nectar!) while travelling to and fro along the old road - from Edinburgh to Stirling & Perth to sell their cattle.
Long one of Scotland's most beloved country inns, famous regulars welcomed beneath its old beams include Charlie Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, Neil Armstrong & the late great Sean Connery.

A traditional old inn turned exclusive-use country retreat, the Tormaukin has 10 beautiful ensuite bedrooms and can sleep either 14-18 or 20-24 guests. Its cosy homely ambiance is perfect for special getaways with your nearest and dearest.

The Tormaukin is also the perfect venue for anniversaries, birthday celebrations, baby showers, hen nights, and funeral receptions. All food & beverage catering is provided by ourselves, with our very own in-house private chef to tempt your tastebuds, while your personal bartender will pour libations into the wee hours of the night.

Room & Event Hire
A relaxed setting to reconnect or meet new faces, the whole house or individual rooms can also be hired for short periods to host coffee mornings, pop-up workshops, community groups & classes, corporate AGM’s and conferences, and makes a stunning backdrop for filming & photoshoots.
The possibilities are endless, and the Tormaukin also has the scale, facilities and ample parking to host markets & fayres, car & motorbike rallies, exhibitions, and a vast commercial kitchen to host chef-run foodie nights.
The Tormaukin can be hired for corporate uses, whether for conferences, AGM's, product launches, or team-building away-days and mini breaks.
