- 'The Gem in Scotland's Secret Glen' -
The Tormaukin is a historic 18th century inn and restaurant nestled in the heartland of Perthshire, and just a stone’s throw away from the world-famous Gleneagles golf courses. This olde world charmer has been welcoming guests beneath its beams for many years and promises a dose of hearty Scottish hospitality as one of the country’s most beloved inns.
Whether locals seeking the warmth of a roaring log fire and a wee dram of whisky, or sightseers on the lookout for sumptuous dishes and a cosy place to rest a weary head after a bracing day out on the glen or fairway, the Tormaukin has a little something for everyone.
After three months of consistently brilliant feedback, and the support of lots of lovely new regulars, it has been a pleasure to provide our diners and guests with a safe rural retreat to enjoy the last of the summer. However, the rising risk of Covid-19 means that if we were to remain fully operational we must revert back to some of our earlier restrictions, for our safety as well as your own. We feel this would be a step in the wrong direction after the momentum we have gained since July, and would undermine the quaint and cosy country inn experience we have worked hard to build up over the past three months.
We have therefore decided to temporarily close the Tormaukin’s inn rooms, bar and dining room to the public for the time being, until the rise of Covid eases.
We will keep you posted when we decide to reopen the inn, and our restart our takeaways!
