Room & Event Hire

 

Tormaukin House can also be hired for shorter periods to host informal meetings, pop-up workshops and exhibitions, community groups or classes, corporate AGM’s and conferences, and filming & photoshoots. Individual rooms can be hired, or the house can rented exclusively, ranging from short slots of two-hours, up to entire or multiple days for commercial uses.

We also host our own public events from time to time, including foodie nights, afternoon teas, and markets & fayres - so please keep your eyes peeled!

The Perfect Setting for..

Our Versatile Spaces....

The Garden Room
 

Our brightest light-filled space, bursting with plants & shabby chic furnishings, the French doors open out onto the patio area when the sun is shining.

The Garden Room is a the perfect location for coffee mornings and afternoon teas. With ideal lighting for photoshoots, the space can also be converted into a dance-floor.

The adjoining outdoor patio is the perfect spot for a summer BBQ or garden party, to eat, drink or lounge on its garden furniture.

Occupancy: 22 people seated on one long table, or 35 people standing

The Dining Room

A grand ambient space dominated by rich greens, walnut & brassware, a crackling fire, a ceiling full of beams, and eclectic antiques, make this our largest and most impressive room.

The Dining Room is the heart of the house. Highly versatile, the room can be arranged with one long table for dining.

Occupancy: 30 people seated on one long table (50 at separate tables), approx 60 people standing

The Snug & Bar

Get nice and cosy in our animal-themed snug, or hop on a tartan barstool for a wee dram or two!

A warm and inviting space, our snug is perfect for small informal gatherings, and to enjoy a coffee or a tipple by the open fire!        Walk through the archway into the adjoining old pub bar, dark and dramatic and dotted with curiosities.

The Billiards Room

Old exposed stone walls, white-panelling, and ancient beams with a flickering open fire

Wind down with a drink or two on our cushy chesterfields, while your friends compete with a game of pool, darts or chess in the adjoining space, split in two by a walled open fire. The pool table can also be converted into a formal dining table.

Occupancy: 15 people for seated drinks, or 25 people standing. The pool/dining table can seat 8 people for dining

Larger-Scale Public Events

The possibilities are endless, but the Tormaukin also has all the facilities to host...

Markets & Fairs

With our idyllic setting in a glen and ample front and rear car park, and the Tormaukin is ideal for craft & antique fairs, farmer's and flea markets, and Christmas fayres.

Charity Event or Auctions

With our vast commercial kitchen, chef's can hire us for the night to host their own pop-up foodie night. We can provide front of house help, or you can bring your own.

Car Rallies

Nestled in the beautiful Glendevon and in the middle of Scotland's 'Heart 200' route, we are an ideal pitstop for classic car & motorbike rallies. Why not book a private table for lunch too?
