300 Years of Welcome
Dating back to the 1720s, The Tormaukin began life as a drovers’ inn - a place to rest, eat, and exchange stories before continuing on.
Long one of Scotland's most beloved country retreats, famous regulars welcomed beneath its old beams include Charlie Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, Neil Armstrong & the late great Sean Connery.
Now restored as an exclusive-use inn, it offers the same sense of welcome - just reserved for one group at a time.

We specialise in small, carefully curated celebrations - from gatherings of 14 through to weddings of up to 70 guests - with thoughtfully designed wedding packages that bring together venue, food and atmosphere seamlessly.

The Tormaukin offers a relaxed, exclusive setting for corporate lunches, meetings, conferences, and team away-days, with the option of overnight stays for longer retreats.
Available for daytime hire or exclusive-use weekends, the house is ideal for board meetings, strategy sessions, training days, team-building breaks, and company celebrations. Our in-house kitchen can provide anything from working lunches and informal suppers to fully hosted private dinners, allowing your team to focus on the day while we take care of the rest.
